Had bit of time on Friday morning as was waiting for computer to finish scans before taking back to customer this afternoon, so decided to take the dog on a nice long walk after dropping my daughter off to school. Normally for taking the dog on a long walk we go over chasewater. But always go there so thought would go along the Canal instead.
We started at the bottom of white horse Road, I remember years ago when this road continued towards Chasetown, well that was before the M6 toll. Normally I setup the GPS tracking app to let me know how far we have walked, but hadn’t put on new phone, so downloaded Google mytracks and set it to go when got back checked it and showed the time we had walked but must not have got GPS signal for some reason, as no distance etc 🙁 though we probably walked about 3 miles in total.
We walked towards Brownhills along the Wyrley and Essington canal, the weather wasn’t the best as did start to rain a bit, we got past the Ogley junction and then decided to head back, was a nice walk even with the bit of rain. I like autumn morning, as not too cold and love seeing the leaves falling off the trees. Did take camera and got a few photos below.
Now as a responsible dog walker I take bags for the dog mess, which I had to use on this walk, I then put these in another plastic carrier and then dispose of at home or if specialist dog mess bin. But does still surprise me the amount of carriers tied to bushes or trees with dog mess in. As if you are taking bags and clean up the mess why then tie to tress. This is really nearly as bad as not even picking it up, just don’t understand why when people do this they can’t be bothered to dispose of it properly as they came prepared for the mess as they have had bags with them. Well that’s my rant over.
