This has to be one of the most stupid but really useful gadgets I have brought. I heard someone mention these on a podcast I listen to, so had a quick look on ebay and are also available from amazon and even B&M priced between £3 – £7. So brought one for a laugh.
The unit itself is small 65 x 70 x 25mm, it takes 3 AAA batteries. The sensor is on the battery part and the light is on a flexible arm that clips around the toilet bowl. It does feel bit lose, but when toilet seat down seems secure,. I have had in on the toilet now for 2 months and not came off and not changed batteries yet.
It automatically works when dark, so doesn’t come on in daylight. When sensors see movement within a about 2 metres the light comes on, it cycles through 16 different colours if you just want it permanently on one colour just press the button on the main box. It light stays on for 2 minutes. It is a bright light and does illuminate the bowl also give a nice glow in the bathroom.
Like I say I Brought this for a laugh, when the daughter seen it she said it was cool, though the missus though it was stupid. But been really useful as when going to the loo in the night don’t need to turn the light on. I find it very useful as I have a mobility problem and if I get up in the night I have to use a walking stick to get around and very unsteady on my feet, so great that I don’t have to worry about turning on the light.
For the price of this led toilet light is a great gadget that is really useful, I’m getting another one for the downstairs toilet aswell.
