Wasp Macro – Photo Blog

Wasp

Just looking outside the other day while doing some work sitting outside, noticed this wasp on one of our garden ornaments. So I quickly grabbed the camera and got a few shots, it wasn’t moving that fast which enabled me to get the closeup macro filters I had just brought to fit the Nikon P610, If I remember right I used both a +4 and a +10 but not together.

Not really had that much practice with these filters yet and my new camera, but these shots came out ok, with some good detail. Normally I don’t get that close to wasps or bees as hate them really, but as this one wasn’t moving that quick, I didn’t mind. Not sure why he stayed on this ornament as he was on there for over 5mins.
