Normally we don’t put our Christmas decorations up until December, but this year decided to put it up today 29th November which if I was religious this is the first Sunday of advent (the fourth Sunday before Christmas). I normally get the Christmas decorations up the first weekend of December. This goes back to when I was child as my father worked all week, so had to be at the weekend we went out and got a real Christmas tree, so this tradition has stayed with ever since.

This year though our daughter had wanted the tree up so she could decorate it, so though would share a pic or two of the tree. Like most people now don’t have a real xmas tree, over the years been through several in different colours from your traditional green, to a gold tinsel pullup tree, this was great as i had all the lights and decorations attached so really only had to pull it up and put on the pole and plugin. Were are now on a silver Christmas tree, this was a great bargain a few years ago, brought originally to use on our outside display. But last year decided to try inside, though the missus weanted pink and plae blue decorations, you wouldn’t believe how long it took us to get the right ones lol. But i looks nice and modern so we are happy with this colour choice.I do a small village scene on the sideboard, but one of the display units isn’t that bright so looks like hot to get more light up village scenes seem a few that we like so will be doing getting more soon 🙂

For people that have read my blog before you would know that I normally do a lot of decorations and lights outside. This year though due to several reasons, I may not be putting out as much as I normally do, even though have a lot more stuff than I had last year which I did in support of St Giles hospice, see HERE for details.

I will be uploading the photos of the smaller display outside the house within the next week, so check back soon.
