Using A iPad or Tablet As A Camera Why!

ipad vs camera

We have all had this happen to us all, someone using a iPad as a camera for either taking photos or taking videos. Well this could become more common after seeing the latest apple advert.

Now I agree that the way we take photos is changing in that taking photos now is more social media orientated, and that isn’t a bad thing, as using a iPad or iPhone, Android device etc you take your photo then upload straight away to your favorite site for everyone to see. Also you can now do your adjustment and effects straight on your device, which a few years ago you took your photos then had to wait until you got back to your pc to edit your photo, then share.

Now this can all be done on one device, with some great results and now with manufactures building better cameras into your mobile device and the shear amount of camera apps and effects apps you can take your photo and make it look exactly how you want straight on the device with seconds. Remember all those years ago that cameras started to appear on phones they were of low quality and the only editing you could do was add silly effects to your photos, so how times have changed it the now you have got Nokia phones with over 30mp cameras and the fact of software to do anything from basic adjustments to advanced editing sometimes archiving results in seconds that would take more time on your PC or mac.

But still why do people insist on using the iPad or tablet to take the photos, As it is the most annoying thing that when you are trying to watch something ie your kids in a play and someone in front holding up a 10″ bright screen recording or taking photos, as really does spoil your view, so why not use your phone and if you want to edit on a large screen then just transfer to your iPad or tablet as with the advent of using cloud service like iCloud, Google drive, dropbox etc you can set your devices to auto upload to the cloud so nearly have access to your photo on all your other devices. Now yes I use a largish camera but I do make sure I don’t obstruct anyone’s view and if the screen is to bright I can even turn off the lcd screen and use viewfinder.

So people take note that even though apple want us to use their large devices for video or photos, think about the other people around you when using your massive screen on your devices just to take a quick snapshot when your phone will do as good as job. Or if not desperate to upload straight away to social media invest in a good compact camera as these will take better photos as the have better optics in them.
