Just a quick reminder about the national heritage open days this weekend, I had forgotten about this yearly event as it was from Thursday 12th – Sunday 15h September. This is were over 4000 heritage sites across the UK on there doors for free, some of the places you can’t normally visit as they are not open go the public.

See the heritage open day website for full details https://www.heritageopendays.org.uk/ some of the places local to me that are open for free include: The back to backs in Birmingham, Middleton hall in Tamworth, Aston transport museum in Aldridge, Aston hall which I have visited in the past thus is when it was free all the time, but great place to visit. And loads of other places,  so check out the website and do a search for what is available local to you.

This fee event has no been running just under 20 years. It a great opportunity to see some gems of heritage sites that you would normally either gave yo pay for of other you just can’t visit any other time of the year. It is just a pity this weekend in the Midlands is going to be very wet and windy 🙁
