We had a trip to the model railway and village in Southport while we was away for the weekend around the area. The entrance price is very reasonable at £3.50 Adults & £3.00 for children. The model Railway is set in around 1.5 Acres of land. With If I remember right 5 different trains on around 500mtrs of track.

You are given a little quiz for the kids to do going around the attraction, there are various questions to answer, which are pretty easy, also you have to spot Bob the builder in one of the models, once completed if you put the completed quiz in a box to win a monthly prize of a £20 W H Smith voucher, My daughter did really enjoy doing this quiz.

Myself I love model villages and this was a great attraction to go to. There are all different types of buildings from a town centre, small village, church, factories etc. all the models and the trains looked well kept. There is a small pond within the site. the surroundings are very good with all different types of shrubs etc. There are a few seating areas  around the path just to sit and watch the trains go past. There is a small cafe with seating inside and outside.

We did really enjoy going around this we went round 3 times in total as you can miss different details within the model and trains within the first walk around. The Model village is in the main park and gardens within the town just of the promenade, so very easy access from the main town centre.
